Email Reminders/DCAA Compliance

Post by toones »

A nice addition would be email reminders when an employee has not filled in their timesheet. In other words, have a selectable reminder field, and a cron that runs saying anyone who has not completed their timesheet for the previous day gets an email reminder (also provide the option to copy the payroll administrator on that email). Previous day would be based on the user's schedule (determine if it was a workday). Also, allowing the payroll administrator to view delinquent timesheets and generate adhoc email reminders through timetrex.

At the end of the timesheet pay week, users should be required to review and submit their timesheet to the next person in the hierarchy for approval. If they don't they get an email reminder. Any changes the user makes prior to submittal should require a user justification for the change. When they do submit their timesheet that would trigger an email to that person in the hierarchy saying they have an timesheet to approve.

Finally, the timesheet approvers (based on hierarchy) should be able to reject the timesheet, put in an explanation and kick it back down to the user. This action would also generate an email to the user saying their timesheet has been rejected.

Parts of these suggestions may already be in effect, but tieing them together would greatly assist companies in using TimeTrex to obtain DCAA compliance.
