Surviving a disaster

Post by pavano »

Suppose the server running TimeTrex is just so much metal and plastic. What do I need to have safely tucked away offsite so that I can continue from the date of the last backup? If I have the o/s installation media and the Debian package for Timetrex would it be a matter of restoring the postgres data directory? Or do I need something else?

Thanks.

Its recommended that you have a complete backup of the database (ie: SQL dump) and a full backup of the TimeTrex directory and any related directories specified in the timetrex.ini.php file. As long as you have all of that, a restore is pretty straight forward.
