German Translation

Post by gml »

I've got a rough German translation ready.

Not a 1.0 version by far, since I'm lacking the modules that aren't in the free (as in beer) version.
Also, this is my first contact with software having to do with human resource planning.

On the other hand it isn't a word by word machine translation.

Is there anything like https://translations.launchpad.net/ that you have for community driven translations?
I thought about setting up a project there, but I thought I'd rather ask first.

We weren't aware of http://translations.launchpad.net/, but it sounds like an excellent idea, so we have started a project on there and are in the process of uploading the .PO files.

Here is the link:

Nice. Seems like the import queue of pot's is heavily backlogged though. Might be because of the upcoming Alpha of Ubuntu 8.04.

Is there someone in charge of the German .po who might want to give my translation a glance? A good tool to check on anything you find awkward would be http://www.dict.cc/ or http://dict.tu-chemnitz.de/ .

You can email it to support@timetrex.com, someone will take a look at it there.

Deutsche Übersetzung

Post by kirillow »

The German translation is completed now. I think it is more understandable than the first one ; - ) .
Great software. Thanks.

Die deutsche Übersetzung ist jetzt komplett. Vielleicht trage ich damit bisschen dazu bei, dass diese großartige Software deutschsprachige Anwender und (vor allem) Entwickler findet.
