Overtime Approvals

Post by vimal »

Hi I've successfully installed timetrex 2.0.2 on Fedora and LAMP
I need to know is it possible to have approvals on overtime i.e. the overtime gets calculated only after it is approved by the manager and supervisor.

If you schedule employees, and enable what TimeTrex calls "strict rounding" on the rounding policy, all punches will be rounded to match their schedule, not allowing any overtime.

When an employee takes overtime, they can write a note with the punch, or send in a request to their supervisor, who can then review the situation and easily modify the punch to reflect the real time by simply editing the punch in question, clicking the "Use Actual Time" button (TimeTrex stores two times with each punch, rounded and exact [actual] times) and disable rounding.

Alternatively you could just allow employees to punch in/out whenever (no strict rounding), and enable the "Over Scheduled Hours" exception so supervisors are alerted to overtime situations and they can make adjustments as they see fit.
