I just update to V. 9.0.12 and after installation this error message came up.

Not writable:/Application/TimeTrex/timetrex/classes/modules/install/../../../lauch_timetrex_login.app/launch_timetrex_login.app
I'm using an IMac running OS X El Capitan v. 10.11.4
Please advise what I need to do to fix this problem.

You should be able to just delete that file and run the installer again.

I only found the folder up to /Application/TimeTrex/timetrex/classes/modules/install. (can't find this part...../../../../lauch_timetrex_login.app/launch_timetrex_login.app)
Not sure what else to look for after that. I deleted that whole "install" folder and re-install the new TimeTrex again but it still has the same error message.
I been trying to find more info in the forum but can't seem to find the answer to this problem, please help.

This path:

Is the exact same as this path:
/Application/TimeTrex/timetrex/lauch_timetrex_login.app/launch_timetrex_login.app

The Path I deleted goes: /Application/TimeTrex/timetrex/lauch_timetrex_login is that correct. after file has been deleted I re-install the V.9.0.12 and go thru the setup but still have the error message.
Can I just un-install the TimeTrex and re-install a new version. How would I move my old data over? I have made a copy of the whole TimeTrex program on a external drive. just incase of something.

I went to this link to download the newest version of Timetrex v.9.0.12 (http://www.timetrex.com/onsite_communit ... p=download)
After that went thru the whole setup to install app. then it goes into a verification steps. Once verification starts I always get stuck at that Error message.

Okay, so while on that screen with the red error message, delete the file, then just click the "ReCheck" button, and it should continue on.

That seems odd, there shouldn't be any differences with the database, do you recall during the installation process if it said it was performing an upgrade?

I just install a new version of TimeTrex into a new computer and reinstall the backup database file. Its working so far.
Don't know what happen to the IMac, couldn't get it to work. Now its working on a PC.
