Connection As non-priviliged user fails

Post by justmike65 »

I have an installation on AWS Linux/Cent-OS. It was working perfectly until I installed the postgresSQL. I went through all the instructions on the website https://www.timetrex.com/how-to-install ... ntu-debian but I get the following error
Connection test to your database as a non-privileged user has failed! Please correct your settings and try again.
Any idea as to what settings I need to make? Do I need to make a new non-privileged user that is not listed in the instructions?

The instructions describe creating a "timetrex" database user in PostgreSQL that has high enough privileges to do everything the installer needs to do. So as long as that was done properly, and the other connection settings are also correct, it should work for you.

Attaching a screenshot of your database settings in the install wizard would be helpful too though.
