I'm having the issue where the invalid email address is not letting me save the Employee details. I would leave it off - but I am specifically setting up notifications to users of their time sheet exceptions.
What type of response is TT looking for when it tries to resolve the address? Thanks for any help you can provide.
Here is the output of nslookup on my email domain:
PS C:\Users\Administrator.DUDLEYVENTURES> nslookup dudleyventures.com
Server: dudleydc3.dudleyventures.local
Address: 10.0.0.3

Email invalid - domain resolves internally
Re: Email invalid - domain resolves internally
TimeTrex needs to see an MX record for the email domain.
This link should help you to use nslookup to diagnose that:

Re: Email invalid - domain resolves internally
And how would one do this with an Ubuntu installation? We have a .us domain and isn't recognized as valid.
Re: Email invalid - domain resolves internally
The TLD (.us) itself has no bearing on this, its simply a matter of having proper DNS records required for email to be delivered. Even if TimeTrex allowed the email address to be entered, it could never send an email to it, therefore it would be useless and if you ever forgot your password you would not be able to recover it.
A tool such as this may also be helpful, but it only works for public DNS servers of course.
