Permissions (again again again...)

Post by pribis »

I realize this has been asked before, but after reading a few posts I still can't see the problem.

/var/ww/timetrex/logs not writable.

My logs directory is set to the owner and group of the webserver (nginx). Permissions are set to 755 and 644 for the dir and files. This is the way my current installation runs and it runs fine. So why is the upgrade complaining about it?

I could set it all to 777/666 but that's not really a solution for obvious reasons (and I did try it and it works, but I don't like it. Install with this perms and then set them back, maybe?)

Sorry. The above post relates to the installation checks. This is an upgrade.

See https://www.timetrex.com/how-to-install ... ntu-debian, under section "If you are using the default directories you can use these commands:", where it has example chmod commands you can run.
