install errors

Post by futbalcoach »

I have attempted several times to install on xp. I receive the following error messages.
Failed to create process for initdb. The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabling devices associated with it
Postgre SQL 8.2

Error running C:\Program Files\TimeTrex\postgresq\install-settings.bat"9e8ea32dc""9e8ea32dc"

Can you verify that the Secondary Logon service is running?

To verify the Secondary Logon service is running:
1. Open the Control Panel and navigate to Administrative Tools > Services.
2. Scroll to Secondary Logon.
3. If the service is not running, click Start.
4. Close the Services window

Because the previous install failed. I recommend uninstalling TimeTrex completely, including deleting the TimeTrex directory completely from your system, then try installing it from scratch again.

Did your secondary logon service stop again?

I recommend starting it, and setting it so it automatically starts on boot as well. Its designed to be a security feature, so disabling it can lead to your computer being less secure then with it enabled.

Are you referring to the TimeTrex "admin" user?

If so, try the "Forgot Password" link on the Login page, if that doesn't work, your best bet is to uninstall, and re-install again.
