User's cannot clock out - WinXP/IE7

Post by apgarcia »

Hello-

I have Timetrex installed on top of a Linux box, some users are getting this error message when they are tyring to clock out.

"You are not authorized to punch in or out from this station"

This happened so far on 2 PC's, 1 of them has admin rights on there pc, the other one doesn't.

Has anyone encountered this?
Thanks for any help....

You need to go to Admin -> Company -> Stations and make sure you have stations setup to allow the employees to punch in/out.

By default all employees can punch in/out, so it sounds like you have either deleted that station or modified it deny some employees.

I tried going another route on fixing this....

under Station List, Station ID "ANY", Edit...
Employee Groups, I selected all groups that are in UnSelected Groups and moved them into the Selected Groups and I get this error message now.

"Incorrect work code field lengths, they must all add up to 9"

any suggestions?

Your best bet is to setup a wildcard station as explained in this Online University course:
http://www.timetrex.com/university.php?c=dt9z

The work codes must add up to 9. For example,

Branch: 4 Department: 5

If that doesn't work you may be using an old version of TimeTrex and you should upgrade to the latest version.
