The user ID in the TT-A8 punch clock.. what field does it pertain to in the employee table? Employee Number? OR is it internal ID?
What table stores the finger prints?
Thanks,
-Bob
Station - TT-A8 - User ID?
OK.. so if you have finger prints enrolled to a specific user ID on the clock (and thus corresponding Employee Number).. if you change the Employee Number, does the finger print data move along with it? Or is re-enrolling required?
Wouldn't it be safer to link by an absolutely unique and unchanging key?

Employee numbers really shouldn't change that often, if ever.
None the less, you don't need to re-enroll the fingerprints, if I recall correctly you just need to wait for a "Full Upload" to run on the timeclock, so the timeclocks local database can be re-built to include the change.
TimeTrex can handle employee numbers changing internally without any problems, its the timeclock that may have some issues. Worst case scenario would require a manual upload of data on the clock, which is essentially two mouse clicks.
