We only track hourly employees in timetrex. We have a salary supervisor that is leaving the department. They have NO time data of any kind in the system. They are strictly a supervisor.
Someone new will be replacing them and they need all the same permissions as the person who is leaving. Is there any reason I should not just rename the old supervisor?
Renaming an Employee
We don't recommend "renaming" employees, or sharing employee records. There is really no advantage to this, and many disadvantages, not the least of which is corrupting any audit trail that may have existed.
Create a new employee and assign them to the same permission group as the one who is leaving.
