moving my installation to another machine

Post by ckrik »

Hi

I have had TimeTrex installed an running on a machine for a couple of years now, no problems.

I would like to move the installation and/or data, to a new machine.

How would I do this???

Thanks a lot.

That procedure is for Windows only, but the same idea applies to Linux, just slightly different commands are required.

http://www.timetrex.com/wiki/index.php/ ... another.3F

I was using this guide to reinstall and migrate to a new version of TimeTrex (3.x to 5.x).

I thought I read everything carefully but overlooked step # 7. I backed up the database but didn't save a copy of the old \timetrex\storage directory. What is normally in there? and How will not having it affect the migration? Thanks in advance.

The storage directory contains all uploaded items, images, logos, documents, etc...
