Can not get maintenance to run

Post by kplunkert »

Been trying to get maintenance to run for two weeks with no joy.

I am running timetrex on ubuntu.
They run sudo in lieu of su.

timetrex is installed in /opt/lampp/htdocs/timetrex

The apache server is started under the user webuser.

what exactly should the cron job read?

Is there a way to set it so it temporarily dumps to a log file so I can check that it is running?

What is the cron command you are currently using?

"su" should work just fine on Ubuntu, because you aren't running the cron as root, you are running it as your webuser.

I am demoing the TimeTrex for management today and tomorrow.

Is there anyway I can email you the username and password and you can take a look at the cron command and fix it.

Thanks

I just installed TimeTrex on Ubuntu as well. Everything seems to be working fine, but I am confused by the cron job as well. Could you guys please write out instructions on how you accomplished it?
