Permission Groups

Trying to have somebody who can handle all attendance issues, view all policies, but not have access to any $. Thought that would be HR Manager, but not the case.

Have it where the Generate Paystub button is greyed out on the Paystubs screen, but they can still use the generate paystub button from the timesheet screen and see the net pay if they generate for only 1 person.

How do I disable that button and any other way for user to generate paystubs or see anything with $?

You seem to contradict yourself, you said you don't want them to be able to see money, yet you want them to be able to generate pay stubs and view at least the net pay?

If someone can generate pay stubs, it only makes sense that they can view them in full to verify they are correct, which is exactly how the permissions work currently.

Apologies for not being clear. Do NOT want them to see any $, therefore do NOT want them to Generate Pay stubs. Therefore it is a problem that the generate pay stub button is enabled on the timesheet screen when it is not on the paystub list screen.

It shouldn't be a problem to remove the Generate Pay Stubs button, I believe that is only accessible to employees with "Pay Stub -> Edit" and/or "Pay Stub -> View" permissions.

At least on our system 10.7.2 I believe you are incorrect. Users without those rights still get an active generate paystub button on the timesheet screen (though it is Inactive on the paystub screen). So please advise how to do what you indicate that employees cannot generate paystubs and see the gross and net values for other employees.

When you say "inactive", do you mean that the Generate Pay Stub icon is displayed but grayed out? If so, that is not a permission issue, it simply means the icon can't be used until an existing pay stub is selected so TimeTrex has enough information to base the generating of pay stubs on. Under Attendance -> TimeSheet, that information is always available, so that icon is always "active" assuming they have permissions to see it.

The specific permissions that show the "Generate Pay Stub" icons are actually "Pay Period Schedule -> View".
