Our company does not rollover vacation hours. We have 2 employees that was in the negative and one in the positive last year. We start off the year with 160 hours. The ones that were in the negative the 160 hours were deducted. The employee that was in the positive it added 160 hours.

Each employee starts the year with 160.00 hours PTO. One employee went over the available hours by 119.50 hours. When I added the 160.00 hours for 2018 it shows 40.50 accural hours available. Is there a way to start the new year showing 160.00 accural hours available for PTO?

The accrual policy doesn't specify what the balance will start at, it specifies how many hours are actually accrued at a given time. So if you allow employees to go into the negative, it will not accrue more for them than someone who has a 0 balance.

Although you could try setting the Accrual rate to something very high like 9999:00, then set the maximum balance to what you want like 160:00, and that may work for you.
