Migrating Older Version to New Server

Post by paomega1 »

Hi All,
I'm migrating an older server to a new server environment.
Where can I download an installer for 10.7.2-20190906-133700 ?

Kind regards

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the response. I did go through that document.
pg-restore tells me that the backup is not a valid backup file (even though it is clearly only a text dump).
I suspect the version of postgress has changed between the latest version and the version noted in my initial post, and thus the newer version cannot restore a backup from the older version. Also I suspect that there have been schema changes which might also have an impact.

So I'd prefer to install a fresh copy of the older version and then restore the backup to it, and then update it.
However I cannot find an older version to install and I was hoping someone could give me a link.

Thanks

Are you able to upgrade TimeTrex to the latest version on the old server then migrate once that is done?

I don't have a good backup of the current physical server (new client, legacy server), and I don't want to mess with it since it's working.
I'm migrating them to a hosted platform, so It will be easier and less dangerous for me to spin up a new VM, install the old version and import the data and then upgrade TimeTrex, validate it, etc., and then I decom the old server.

Unfortunately we don't have a copy of that version available for download, so you have two options:

1. Upgrade old server to latest version.
2. Manually migrate database to new server with latest version. In the restore.bat file there is a commented out line (REM) that can be used to import SQL dumps from older versions of TimeTrex, so that may work for you.
