I'm getting no answers on topic: Issue with Error Message and 2020.
I reverted my backup of my old system which worked with the attached error messages. So at least I can produce some paystubs for our employees!

I need to correct these errors and update to at least the new tax tables.

Run the TimeTrex web installer system requirements check step and it will provide you with exact details on the error.

Note that this does not require downloading or installing anything whatsoever, its simply accessing the installer URL like this:

Code: Select all

http://mydomain.com/timetrex/interface/install/install.php

Checking pre-flight requirements... 1... 2... 3... 4...You are currently using PHP v7.4.1 TimeTrex requires PHP v7.3.x or earlier!

5... 6... 7... 9... 10... FAILED!

For installation support, please join our community forums or contact a TimeTrex support expert for Implementation Support Services.

This version was installed from the Zip version - Automatic Ubuntu updates changed this to 7.4

In that case, you will need to upgrade TimeTrex to the latest version, which does support PHP v7.4.

Note that you need to do this in the exact same way that you originally installed TimeTrex. So if you installed TimeTrex originally from a .ZIP, use the .ZIP to upgrade. If you installed from the .DEB, use the .DEB to upgrade. Do not mix installation methods on the same server.

It seems like the installer URL you are using is incorrect and it may be redirecting you back to the main login screen. The error message you are seeing should only appear when on the main login screen and when the timetrex.ini.php has installer_enabled = TRUE set.

Overnight it set up new versions of libapache2-mod-php, php, php-common.
I had to restart the server after which I was able to log in and fount a mesage that it had also updated TimeTrex to v 12.0.4 and I could again see all my records.

Thanks for the advice. sorry to have been a pain
