TimeTrex not saving punches
Everything was working on fine on Friday but today(Monday) users are not allowed to save their punches. I logged in with my admin account and went to manually enter their punch and the same thing happens to me. I enter the time and hit the save button but when it goes back to the employees timesheet screen the punch does not show and is blank. There is no error message that shows up. This is occurring for all users.
We are running TimeTrex Community Edition version 9.0.10. I'm not sure when this version was release and was installed on our system as we have it set to auto update to the newest version. It might have happened over the weekend.
This is running on a Windows 2008 R2 server.

Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
This is happening to us as well. I can also not edit add or delete old punches
Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
Same here. I have two customers running community edition, both can't punch as of this morning. One hosted on 2008R2, other on 2012R2.
Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
We are seeing the same thing. Upgrade seams to have happened last night 4/10. No punches will save even though debug level log contains NO errors.
Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
I'm having the same problem, things were working fine last night and can't save punches this morning. No MS updates or anything else happened on the system.
Any update on this issue?
Thanks,
Mark

Same issue. Update seams to have happened Sunday 4/10. Nothing wrong in the logs at the Debug level. Simply click save and nothing happens.

Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
I'm sorry I'm not adding to the topic - but we too are having this issue. We can change user info, but not log actual punches.
Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
Our company is also having the same issue.
Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
It appears that a incompatibility with some TimeTrex installations was introduced with v9.0.10, we are currently in the process of releasing v9.0.11 which will resolve it, we appreciate your patience and will post more information here once its available.
Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
TimeTrex v9.0.10 mistakenly introduced an incompatibility with a small percentage of installations that would prevent punches from being saved. v9.0.11 has been released to correct this issue, so to force an immediate upgrade, please run the following command on your TimeTrex server:
c:\timetrex\php\php.exe c:\timetrex\timetrex\tools\unattended_upgrade.php -f
We are continuing to investigate how this incompatibility made it through our quality assurance testing and we can assure you that we will take all necessary steps to prevent this from happening again in the future.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, if you have any questions please feel free to contact us.

Attempted the update and received the following message:
Force mode enabled...
Already running latest version: 9.0.10

Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
Upgrade worked and we can report users can save punches once again.
Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
Please try again, the new version was likely still propagating to all of our mirror servers.vcrawford wrote:Attempted the update and received the following message:

Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
Running on Linux (Ubuntu 12.04), I receive this error when running the upgrade:
% php ~gbl/TimeTrex/timetrex/tools/unattended_upgrade.php -f
Force Mode enabled...
ERROR: Current system requirements check failed...
Failed Requirements: Require,WFilePermissions
Looks like a bunch of files had their ownership changed to the apache user. Fixed that, then it updated cleanly.
Punches now work.

Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
I ran the forced upgrade and all is working now.
Re: TimeTrex not saving punches
There is a problem with your file permissions, please enable the web installer in the timetrex.ini.php file and run that, it will give you specific error messages that should be more helpful.gbl wrote:Running on Linux (Ubuntu 12.04), I receive this error when running the upgrade:
