Installing on NetBSD version 9.1
It takes some "translation" because of pgksrc, but I was able to get the latest version of TimeTrex installed on NetBSD and even got the automatic updates to work. Thanks for the software Shaun.

Importing punches on Community Edition
I've read a few threads where the terminus answer to questions about importing punch data from a MySQL database is "The community version doesn't support it." Is this an economic decision or is it just too hard to make work? I'm trying to upgrade an older TimeTrex installation from MySQL t...

Re: Quick API Questions
Thanks for the info Shaun. I appreciate your help again and the confirmation of the API information. Is there a link somewhere that talks to the public data array elements we can filter on by API object and/or the public members of the data objects for each API call? I'm using the database schema no...

Re: Help: importing employee list.
import_user_example.csv Hi, I am having problems importing my customer list or any list at all into Timetrex Community Edition v7.4.4-20140930-150229. I have mapped the columns of the csv file although I did not indicate any default value nor Parse hint. I need to know if there is any specific orde...

Re: Verify location of computer used to punch in.
I've been looking at the punch API for the past few days, so I feel like the possibility is there, but it depends on a lot of variables. If you are using an actual Android or iPhone app, you should be able to get the latitude and longitude of the appliance, assuming the phone is configured to provid...

Quick API Questions
Three quick SOAP API questions in the latest (7.4.6) version: 1) When I filter the user API for phone_id (also called punch_id in a couple of things I've read), I get all records. If I do the same search using employee number, I get a single record. Is there something special about filtering on the ...

Blank screen on update after upgrade to 3.3.1
I'm restarting my database, and I'm trying to set up a policy group. From this screen: Home > Absence Policy List > Edit Holiday Policy > Holiday Policy List > Edit Policy Group > Policy Group List I click "edit" on the default policy and try to apply all of the policies I've set up. As lo...

Re: Problem after upgrade to 3.3.1
I think I"m going to do a full reinstall of 3.3.1. Note that I run the software under NetBSD 5.1, and it works fine. Reinstalling is going to be a relative snap, since I've been through the company and department install steps three times now. Doing them one more time should be fairly straightf...

Re: Problem after upgrade to 3.3.1
All wages are under Admin -> Employee Administrator, click the "Payroll" functions link in the table header, then click "Wages" beside the employee. This will take you to the employees Wage list, click Edit on any of the wages and change the Wage Group there. Group Type Wage Eff...

Re: Problem after upgrade to 3.3.1
This employee does not have a wage set for the default wage group, therefore they will not receive any regular time earnings. I think your looking too far into this. Simply set the wage group for this employees wage entry to "DEFAULT" rather then one of the groups that you manually create...

Problem after upgrade to 3.3.1
I just finished a manual upgrade from 3.3.0 to 3.3.1. Everything is installed, scheduling and other features seem to be working. The only problem I'm running in to is this in the Paycheck Generator: 1. No Earnings, employee may not have any hours for this pay period, or their wage may not be set 2. ...

Re: MYSql ADODB_Exception'
I was looking at that. I'm trying to integrate TimeTrex with the rest of my library management software, which all used MySQL. The error appears to be an erroneous "Limit 1" getting added to the queries. One of the queries was short enough to show the dual "Limit 1" entries on th...
