I've read a few threads where the terminus answer to questions about importing punch data from a MySQL database is "The community version doesn't support it."
Is this an economic decision or is it just too hard to make work?
I'm trying to upgrade an older TimeTrex installation from MySQL to Postgres and the answer in the FAQ didn't accomplish the need, so I need to figure out another way to import punches. Is there a workaround?
Importing punches on Community Edition
Re: Importing punches on Community Edition
Importing punches is not available in the community edition and doesn't do what most people expect, especially in your situation. The only proper way to migrate from MySQL to PostgreSQL is by using the FAQ here:

If that doesn't work for you, I would recommend troubleshooting the specific problem there rather than trying to find a likely more difficult and error prone method.
