Was a simple fix, Mike helped me find it. The cron job was not running because I typed in the command wrong. I used a $ symbol where I should have used the & symbol.
Whoops. Thanks guys!

Punches not downloading
Running version 2.2.16, had to move to a new server so I can upgrade to the latest version. Everything seems to be working, except the punches are not being downloaded from the timeclock. The steps I followed: Installed timetrex on new server (same version as from old server), restore the database, ...

Re: Duplicate Schedule
I thought that might be the case. :) I am using a really old version of timetrex (1.6) and I have some ideas as to how the problem was created. I will attempt to duplicate the problem and have plans to upgrade anyway, so if I can duplicate the problem I can also see if the problem still exists in th...

Duplicate Schedule
It appears that someone entered a schedule for an employee incorrectly and the system scheduled them twice on the same day (overlapping shifts). So the employee clocks in and out based on the correct schedule, but at the end of the day, timetrex shows them having worked their normal 6.5 hours, but i...

Re: Accrual report in the future.....
I have a request that is similar to this, except for the past.
I'd like to be able to run an accrual total as of (some date in the past).
The accrual total in the future would be a great report too as long as it had the word estimate on it.

Re: Time trex maintenance and time zone issues
you need to create a maintenance job in your crontab. I would link the place I got this information, but I don't remember where I got it.
schedule the job using the apache2 user's crontab:
* * * * * php /var/www/timetrex/classes/modules/core/../../../maint/cron.php > /dev/null 2>&1

Re: Does TimeTrex dial home?
Thank you for the clarification. :) I don't like bumping posts, so I assumed that you were either too busy to respond or didn't want to disclose the reasons for the extra traffic. We haven't found any of the traffic to be a security risk but we really will be trying to put tighter reigns on our serv...

Re: Does TimeTrex dial home?
I assumed from the silence, that it was a yes. We are moving to a new building and in the new network redesign there will be additional firewalls that will block this extra traffic we are seeing from the machine.

How do I delete registered fingerprints in a TTA8?
I have a very curious problem that I would like to try a few things on. So, the short question is: If I delete the enrolled employee ID in the timeclock, will it delete only the registered fingerprints and simply re-download that employee ID from timetrex? Or will it somehow affect the timetrex soft...

TimeTrex to allow non-standard email domain names.
We have a policy in our company where our call center agents must have email, but it is not a publicly available email address. As a result, we have an @domain.local email suffix for those users so all of our corporate users can still communicate internally with one another. However, timetrex will n...

Can two installs of timetrex pull punches from the timeclock without a problem? I wanted to setup a test environment and have it pull punches from the timeclock as the production system does, but I don't want to impact the production system. We have the TTA8 timeclock using fingerprints and are usin...

Move TimeTrex from one server to another
We want to move TimeTrex from one server to another. (Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubuntu 8.04) These are the steps I think I would follow: x. disconnect the timeclock from the network to prevent any errant punches from registering to the old system. 1. backup the database 2. backup the timetrex folder (/var/www/...

Renaming an Employee
We only track hourly employees in timetrex. We have a salary supervisor that is leaving the department. They have NO time data of any kind in the system. They are strictly a supervisor. Someone new will be replacing them and they need all the same permissions as the person who is leaving. Is there a...

Ok, we fixed those AM punches that had the wrong time. Over the past few days, we have noticed other things that appear to be rounding related: Sometimes the actual time on an IN or OUT for lunch is 12:53, but is being reported as 12:54 as if it were rounding up. We also have some users clocking in ...

Can you change the actual punch that was gathered from a timeclock if needed? For instance, we have rounding turned on and it works perfectly. We had problems with the timeclock this morning and it wasn't accepting punches for a few users. We fixed the problem, but now they show their actual time as...

We'd like them to be able to run multiple periods at once if they choose. Also we use the reports to see all of the PTO and Holiday pay broken down into their respective buckets. Our ultimate goal was to allow a user to run reports on themselves. Since a normal user cannot do this, our only option was to use an existing feature as it was not intended. Which is how we discovered the bug. Now we don't know how the software works from an internal standpoint, but we would guess ...
